Our own Timothy Hicks, PE, testified at the trial of an Amtrak engineer who was being tried for criminal negligence. Mr. Hicks was a key accident reconstruction expert witness on behalf of defendant, Brandon Bostian, the Amtrak engineer who was at the controls during a fatal derailment that occurred in Philadelphia in 2015. A jury, that took just over an hour to render its verdict, acquitted Mr. Bostian of all charges.
